He began working at just 16 years old, taking on roles in pubs and football stadiums as a waiter. By the age of 17, he had joined The Grove Hotel as an activity coordinator—a position he held until the age of 24. During his time there, he rose through the ranks and became a manager. However, in May of the previous year, he made the bold decision to leave. Life had started to feel repetitive, dominated by office work, constant emails, calls, and meetings. It was time for a change.
Growing up, he faced bullying due to his dyslexia and dyspraxia. Struggling with hand-eye and body coordination, sports were especially difficult, and he was often told he wasn’t good enough. But rather than letting those words define him, they fueled a fire to prove people wrong—and thanks to United Kicking, he’s well on his way.
At 18, he was diagnosed with depression and anorexia, and his weight dropped as low as 60–65 kg. With the support of his family, he turned his life around, channeling his energy into the gym and building himself up to 92–93 kg. That drive eventually led him to American football, a sport he quickly fell in love with—culminating in winning nationals.
Back in 2019, Sean had mentioned Punt Factory, but at the time, it felt more like a dream than a reality. It wasn’t until September/October 2023 that he got in contact with United Kicking and began training seriously in January 2024. Since then, his growth has been rapid. With the support and guidance of United Kicking, he became more coachable, more understanding of the game, and his skills skyrocketed. In under six months, he began to gain attention from colleges—bringing him closer than ever to his dream.
For him, the goal has always been to play professionally—regardless of the sport. United Kicking opened that door and gave him access to the stage he needed.
His motto? Don’t live life with regrets. Live it with lessons. Take that risk.
